Right Now, we have two running contests:
Contest #1: Compose an original piece for Solo Flute, Duet, Trio, or Four Flutes (quartet). The Composition has to be at least 2:00 minutes long but no more than 5:00. It must have an original title and a subtitle that reads, "Piece for Contest". Your First and Last name has to be as the composer. The Contest ends March 30th, 2012.
Contest #2: The contest has the same subtitle rule as Contest 1.The contest is for those of you that want to make new stand tunes for the local High school.I have to give ideas for next years marching stand tunes by April 16th, so I thought it'd be neat if YOU guys made them and I showed them to the Band Directors and their colleagues in their field. It HAS to be your best work!! And ALL instruments have to be for Marching Season, plus percussion! The contest ends April 12th, 2012 and they will be shown the the Band Directors on April 16th.
****Due to the lack of music entries, our contest will be extended to the 19th. That is NEXT THURSDAY. April 19, 2012 is THE LAST day for the entries to be accepted. There will now be FOUR (4) winners instead of the THREE (3)!****
